Cohen & Steers Preferred Securities strategy seeks high income and capital preservation by investing in preferred issues that we believe are undervalued relative to their credit quality and other characteristics. Our investment team employs a value-oriented investment approach focused on credit quality and company fundamentals.
Investment Opportunity
Investors have the potential for above-average income from a portfolio that includes both traditional and hybrid preferred securities. We invest predominantly in fixed-rate U.S. dollar-denominated preferred securities across many sectors, which enhances the opportunities for diversification. Approximately 75% of the investments are investment grade, and we can customize portfolios to maximize tax efficiency.

Our preferred securities team of four investment professionals and a dedicated trader has an average of 11 years of experience. The team covers preferred securities, debt, convertible debt and convertible preferred securities, and draws on the firm's resources in listed infrastructure, global real estate and large cap value companies.
