Senior Investment Personnel
Joseph
M. Harvey, president, is chief investment officer and senior portfolio
manager for all of Cohen & Steers’ portfolios and a member of the firm’s investment
committee. He has 21 years of experience. Prior to joining the firm in 1992, Mr. Harvey
was a vice president with Robert A. Stanger Co. for five years, where he was an analyst
specializing in real estate and related securities for the firm’s research and
consulting activities. Mr. Harvey has a BSE degree from Princeton University. He is
based in New York.
Scott Crowe, senior vice president, is the global research strategist
and a portfolio manager for Cohen & Steers' global and international
portfolios. He has 11 years of investment experience. Prior to joining
the firm in 2007, Mr. Crowe was an executive director at UBS and served
as global head of real estate. He also worked at UBS
Warburg as a real estate analyst. Mr. Crowe has a Bachelor of Commerce
degree from the University of New South Wales and completed a year in
Finance Honors at the University of Technology, Sydney. He is based in
New York.
Thomas
N. Bohjalian, CFA, senior vice president, is a portfolio manager
for Cohen & Steers' U.S. Realty Income portfolios. He has 17 years of
experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Bohjalian was a vice
president and REIT analyst for five years at AEW Capital Management. Mr.
Bohjalian has both a BS degree and an MBA degree from Northeastern
University. He is based in New York.
Jon Y. Cheigh,
CPA, senior vice president, is a portfolio manager for Cohen & Steers'
U.S. real estate securities portfolios. He has 12 years of experience.
Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Mr. Cheigh was a vice president and
senior REIT analyst for two years at Security Capital Research & Management.
Previously, he was a vice president of real estate acquisitions at InterPark
and an acquisitions associate at Urban Growth Property Trust, two privately
held REITs. Mr. Cheigh has a BA cum laude from Williams College and an MBA
degree from the University of Chicago. He is based in New York.
Chip McKinley,
senior vice president, is a portfolio manager for Cohen & Steers' global
real estate portfolios. He has 13 years of experience. Prior to joining
the firm in 2007, Mr. McKinley was a portfolio manager and REIT analyst
at Franklin Templeton Real Estate Advisors. Previously, he was with Fidelity
Investments and Cayuga Fund. Mr. McKinley has a BA degree from Southern
Methodist University and an MBA degree from Cornell University. He is based
in New York.
W. Joseph Houlihan
is CEO and managing director of the Cohen & Steers
European real estate securities business. He has more than 29 years of
experience. Prior to joining the firm, in 2000 Mr. Houlihan, with Gerios
Rovers, co-founded Houlihan Rovers, a Belgium-based global real estate
securities asset manager that was acquired by Cohen & Steers.
Previously, he was a managing director for two and a half years at
Security Capital Group in Brussels. Prior to that, Mr. Houlihan was an
executive vice president and director at GIM Algemeen Vermogensbeheer, a
Dutch investment management company, where he specialized in global real
estate investments and developed GIM's real estate securities investment
process and client base. Mr. Houlihan has a BS degree from New York
University and an MBA degree from the University of Leuven, Belgium. He
is based in Brussels.
Gerios J.M. Rovers
is CIO and managing director of the Cohen & Steers
European real estate securities business. He shares oversight of
investment management activities with Joseph Houlihan. He has more than
20 years of experience. Prior to joining the firm, in 2000 Mr. Rovers,
with Joseph Houlihan, co-founded Houlihan Rovers, a Belgium-based global
real estate securities asset manager that was acquired by Cohen &
Steers. Previously, Mr. Rovers was a vice president for two and a half
years at Security Capital Group in Brussels, where he was responsible
for the development and implementation of portfolio strategies. Prior to
that, Mr. Rovers was an associate director of GIM Algemeen
Vermogensbeheer, a Dutch investment management company, where he managed
global real estate securities portfolios for domestic and foreign
clients. Mr. Rovers has a degree from the University of Tilburg in the
Netherlands. He is based in Brussels.
Derek Cheung,
CPA, senior vice president, is a portfolio manager and head of Cohen
& Steers' Asia/Pacific real estate securities research. He has 17 years of
experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Mr. Cheung was the head of
Hong Kong and China property research for HSBC Securities (Asia), Ltd.
Previously, he covered Hong Kong and China property stocks at Donaldson,
Lufkin & Jenrette and Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Cheung has a BA degree from
Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is based in Hong Kong.
Leonard Geiger, CFA,
senior vice president, is director of European real estate securities research. He has over
15 years of investment experience. Before joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Geiger was portfolio
manager and director at CBRE Global Real Estate Securities in London, focusing on pan-European
property securities. He previously worked at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch and U.S. Trust in
London and New York for seven years as a senior pan-European equities portfolio manager.
Prior to that, he worked for two years as an equity research analyst at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell
in New York. Mr. Geiger graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. from Middlebury
College and holds an M.B.A. and an M.A. International Affairs in European Affairs from Columbia
University. He is based in London.
William
F. Scapell, CFA, senior vice president, is director of fixed income,
the portfolio manager for the Cohen & Steers' preferred securities portfolios
and leads the firm's preferred securities investment and research efforts.
He has 17 years of investment experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2003,
Mr. Scapell spent three years as a director in the fixed income research
department at Merrill Lynch where he was their chief strategist for preferred
securities. Previously, he was a financial analyst and trader at the Federal
Reserve Bank of New York. Mr. Scapell has a BA degree from Vassar College and
an MA degree from Columbia University. He is based in New York.
Robert
S. Becker, senior vice president, is the portfolio manager for
Cohen & Steers' infrastructure and utility portfolios and leads the
firm's utility research and investment efforts. He has 13 years of
investment experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Mr. Becker
was a portfolio manager and analyst for the Franklin Utilities Fund
at Franklin Templeton Investments. Mr. Becker has a BA degree in
Political Economy from the University of California at Berkeley.
He is based in New York.
Richard
E. Helm, CFA, senior vice president, is the senior portfolio manager for Cohen & Steers' large cap value strategy. He has 22 years of investment
experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Mr. Helm was senior portfolio manager at WM Advisors for four years managing the WM Equity Income Fund. Previously,
he was a portfolio manager at Northwestern Trust & Investors Advisory Co., TD Asset Management, Parametric Portfolio Associates and Morgan Stanley Investment Advisory.
Mr. Helm has a BS degree from University of Colorado and an MBA degree from University of Denver. He is based in Seattle.
Douglas R. Bond, executive vice president, is the portfolio manager for
Cohen & Steers' Closed-End Opportunity Fund (FOF). In addition, he also
leads the firm's closed-end portfolio consulting effort with Van Kampen
Investments for their closed-end unit investment trust products. Before
joining Cohen & Steers in 2004, Mr. Bond worked at Merrill Lynch for 23
years. Between 1992 and 2004, he ran their closed-end fund new
origination effort and was involved in all closed-end funds underwritten
by Merrill Lynch. He also headed Merrill's Private Client Syndicate
Group. Mr. Bond has a BA degree from Hamilton College and an MBA from
New York University. He is based in New York.
