A message from our CEO and President on COVID-19

At Cohen & Steers, we are continuously managing and evaluating the impact of COVID-19.  Our primary focus is on managing our clients’ assets and the safety of our employees.  As a global asset manager, our business is fully operational across the globe.  One of our greatest strengths over the past 30+ years has been successfully navigating volatile market cycles on our clients’ behalf.  Although this situation is unique, we are well positioned to manage successful outcomes for our clients.  We also remain committed and focused on making sure our employees and families are safe and healthy.

What actions are we taking?

We activated our Business Continuity Plan (BCP) by implementing a policy for all employees in our New York, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo offices to work from home.  We have been testing this policy over the past several weeks and are experiencing normal business operations with no impact to our investment, trading, operational and client service capabilities.

We have also altered our travel policy, suspending all domestic and international air travel, and leveraging our IT infrastructure to conduct virtual meetings with both internal and external parties.

We remain focused on running our business while managing the safety of our employees, families and communities.  This decision not only helps keep our employees safe, but it also allows us to play a part in reducing the potential impact on our healthcare system by joining other members of the business community in making prudent choices about how we operate.  We want to thank the many healthcare and emergency services professionals who are working around the clock.

We will continue to monitor the situation and remain committed to serving you with the same high standards of excellence that you expect and deserve.  We thank our clients for their continued trust and our employees for their hard work and dedication remaining vigilant on navigating markets and our clients’ portfolios.

We wish you and your families well.
