Cohen & Steers’ long term success is built on having the best and most motivated people working together as a team. As a result, we aspire to create a culture which instills a sense of ownership, mutual respect, community, and common purpose into day-to-day life. The Culture Committee has been given the mandate to take a comprehensive and strategic approach to realizing these aspirations.

Cohen & Steers Women’s Exchange

The Women’s Exchange provides an inclusive forum for women at Cohen & Steers to share ideas and experiences, advocate for one another, and encourage personal, career and leadership development.

Cohen & Steers Volunteer Committee

Cohen & Steers is dedicated to giving back to the community in which we work and live. The Volunteer Committee provides an opportunity for our employees to contribute in a meaningful way while enhancing morale and teamwork. The Volunteer Committee will coordinate four distinct volunteer events each year that are employee-driven and community-focused.

Cohen & Steers Green Team

The Cohen & Steers Green Team promotes environmental mindfulness through education and collaboration. Their goal is to support the firm and its employees in deepening the integration of sustainability into our culture by continually increasing our commitment to the “3Rs”: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

Girls Who Invest

Cohen & Steers is proud to partner with Girls Who Invest, a non-profit  organization that focuses on education, internships, mentoring and community to increase the number of women in portfolio management and executive leadership in asset management.

COVID Giving Campaign

The Volunteer Committee partners with various programs to support those in need. Our COVID Giving Campaign successfully partnered with each of our global offices' respective local public healthcare facilities and foundations in 2020 to donate funds to support doctors, nurses, and patients.

City Harvest

Led by our Volunteer Committee, Cohen & Steers partners with New York City-based City Harvest for an annual food and fund drive to help provide those less fortunate with a quality meal during the holidays.

Cristo Rey

Cohen & Steers participates in an innovative work-study program with Cristo Rey New York High School (CRNYHS). The Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study Program offers students an opportunity to gain valuable real-world skills.

Dress for Success & Susan G. Komen Foundation 

Cohen & Steers’ Women’s Exchange Steering Committee collaborates with programs that support women’s well-being and economic security including Dress for Success and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

New York Restoration Project (NYRP)

Cohen & Steers’ Green Team supports the New York Restoration Project (NYRP) to beautify local parks and communities.
