Our Summer Associate Program is a robust 10-week internship offering an immersive view into life at
Cohen & Steers. Specifically designed for undergraduate students entering their senior year, our program provides meaningful, hands-on experience across the organization as well as a variety of professional development and networking opportunities.

Provides the opportunity to participate in a diverse sampling of team meetings across our investment function inclusive of our listed infrastructure, real assets and real estate securities strategies, global macroeconomics and trading.

Provides an exclusive opportunity to join Robert Steers, Executive Chairman, and Joseph Harvey, Chief Executive Officer & President, for an informational lunch. Summer Associates will have an invaluable opportunity to learn from and network with Cohen & Steers’ esteemed leaders.

Engage in an open dialogue with various senior leaders throughout the organization. Heads of business across investments, sales, distribution and operations share valuable thought leadership as well as insights into their own professional journeys. These forums are specifically designed to encourage thought-provoking business and developmental conversations between firm leadership and our Summer Associates.

Understanding that Summer Associates may have interest a variety of suitable roles and career paths, this aspect of our programming allows them the opportunity to explore any Cohen & Steers department of their choice. An informational/networking meeting with a select member(s) of a department of interest will be facilitated for each Summer Associate.

Each Summer Associate is paired with a mentor who will help support and enrich their internship experience. Several networking and social events will offer the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, as well as provide an additional resource for development and guidance.

Provides a unique opportunity to listen to our live quarterly earnings call, followed by participation in a roundtable luncheon with leaders of our finance department.

Summer Associates will grow their research, team- building and presentation skills by collaborating on a summer-long team project with their peers. Project objectives are pre-selected and designed to offer a solution to a firm-wide need. Each team will present their findings at the program’s conclusion to members of Cohen & Steers’ Executive Committee, Leadership Group and select members of the Summer Associates’ departments.

Tour the trading floor of the NYSE while engaging in the rich history of Wall Street as narrated by experienced NYSE traders.

Summer Associates will have the opportunity to attend a suite of presentations led by Goldman Sachs’ Global Investment Research team at the firm’s world headquarters. This unique conference focuses on providing useful tools and insights into navigating the markets, specifically for emerging talent within the investment management industry.
