Meet Khalid Husain
Senior Vice President, Head of ESG
“At Cohen & Steers we are smart and nimble, looking to impact big picture issues.”
Khalid Husain, senior vice president, chairs Cohen & Steers ESG steering committee. He works with each member to advance firm-wide initiatives in the context of investment integration, products and marketing, corporate responsibility and regulatory issues. Khalid is also involved in Green Team efforts.
When he’s not on the job, Khalid is an avid tennis player and fan and also enjoys hiking with his family. What he tells new employees? “Embrace this opportunity, explore and advance new initiatives. There’s a lot we can do.”

Pensions & Investments partnered with Best Companies Group, a research firm specializing in identifying great places to work, to conduct a two-part survey process of employers and their employees. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies. A fee was paid to Pensions & Investments for rights to use its award logo in promotional material. In addition, a fee was paid to the survey administrator for incidental services provided related to the award.
