Meet Khalid Husain
Senior Vice President, Head of ESG

Khalid Husain, senior vice president, chairs Cohen & Steers ESG steering committee. He works with each member to advance firm-wide initiatives in the context of investment integration, products and marketing, corporate responsibility and regulatory issues. Khalid is also involved in Green Team efforts.
When he’s not on the job, Khalid is an avid tennis player and fan and also enjoys hiking with his family. What he tells new employees? “Embrace this opportunity, explore and advance new initiatives. There’s a lot we can do.”

Meet Julia Medici
Senior Associate, U.S. REIT Team
“I have real impact.”
Julia Medici, Sr. associate, is an analyst on the U.S. REIT team. She started as an intern and then became a Sr. developer on the Data & Analytics team in IT, after creating code that is still in use today.
As one of their IT partners for over two years, Julia developed strong relationships with the U.S. REIT team and has since joined the team coordinating data needs, including running models and managing databases. Julia finds it gratifying that her work has a tangible impact on Cohen & Steers investment offerings. She also is motivated to influence the culture of the firm and is involved in the Diversity Alliance and the Women’s Exchange.
Julia’s New Year’s resolution was to explore a new street or neighborhood every weekend, so she is often out finding off the beaten track destinations in New York. She recommends to new employees, “Jump on all of the learning opportunities possible; I have learned so much from my manager that I will continue to benefit for years to come.”
